Texas Council on Family Violence announces its RFP process for the CJD Safer Families Incubator Site Program grant for 2022

The Texas Council on Family Violence (TCFV) is excited to announce our first ever Request for Proposals (RFP) for the CJD Safer Families Incubator Site Program grant for 2022. Please read this email completely as it contains important information about the proposal and key dates.

The Texas Council on Family Violence (TCFV) will support grantees with technical assistance to two (2) selected Incubator Sites across Texas to support that purpose, specifically for historically oppressed or marginalized communities. An incubator site is an organization, group, or agency that serves a specific cultural community, and in doing so, also serves survivors of domestic violence within that community - although that may not be the primary goal of the organization, group, or agency. Through this partnership, TCFV will support your work with survivors and their children based on your expertise, will increase your knowledge base around the intersection of child welfare and domestic violence when requested, and will learn more about your work with these survivors and their children through a listening session.

Please share this email far and wide to anyone in your community who might benefit!

This is an abbreviated one-year project, beginning on February 1, 2021, and ending on September 30, 2022.

The money we provide to each community is from grants that TCFV has received over the past few years from the Criminal Justice Division of the Office of the Governor (CJD). While it is our hope that this funding continues, and while we are certainly dedicated to this specialized approach of working with CPS-involved survivors of family violence and their children, the grant is not guaranteed to be consistent or continually available to sites year over year.

TCFV plans to follow a process to determine the most effective and efficient method of allocation for the upcoming grant cycle. The application has just opened, and we encourage each program who wishes to apply to thoroughly complete the application. The application is located here: CJD Safer Families Grant Program Incubator Site Application for FY 2022-2023.

Please read all components to ensure your response meets the terms of the RFP.

The deadline for submission is Friday, December 20th, 2021, by 11:59pm. TCFV will not accept late submissions.
