Elder Abuse: Challenges and Opportunities in Serving Victims of this Hidden but Pervasive Crime

Description: As the "Baby Boomer" and “over 65” populations are aging, many are falling victim to crime. The ever-growing elder population guarantees that elder abuse will continue to grow as well. In this webinar, we will discuss the challenges and opportunities in recognizing and addressing elder abuse as well as considerations victim service and criminal justice professionals should have when working with a victim population that may have concurrent physical and cognitive challenges.

When: Thursday, June 20, 2024, from 9:30 am to 11:00 am

Presented by: Jacqueline Pontello JD, Principal Program Coordinator, Houston - Galveston Area Council (H -GAC) Elder Justice Program
